COTTON PIQUE
Cotton pique is the answer for anyone who wants to be covered on warm nights without the weight of a duvet. Moisture absorption and air permeability keep you from overheating.
Why Cotton?
Three properties decide a summer cover: moisture absorption, air permeability and skin-friendly handle. Cotton leads synthetic fibres on all three. Perspiration is absorbed by the fibre and can evaporate from the surface, so the body does not stay damp — which reduces night-time waking.
The textured pique weave reinforces that effect: the raised and recessed surface keeps the fabric from clinging to the skin, and the air layer in between creates a sense of coolness.

Choosing a Weight
In pique, weight directly determines the sense of coolness. Lower weights are preferred in very hot and humid climates, slightly higher weights in air-conditioned rooms or on cool nights. Detailed guidance: summer sleep and pique guide.
Care
Cotton piques are washed at 30–40 °C. Slight shrinkage in the first wash is normal and should be allowed for in sizing. To preserve colour fastness, wash separately the first time, spin at low speed and dry in the shade. Cotton products carry a mould risk if stored damp, so they should be fully dry before being put away.
