What Are Your Rights as a Data Subject?
Data subjects have the following rights in respect of their personal data under the relevant articles of the PDPL:
- To learn whether their personal data is being processed,
- If their personal data has been processed, to request information regarding such processing,
- To learn the purpose of processing the personal data and whether they are used in accordance with that purpose,
- To know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred, in Turkey or abroad,
- To request rectification of personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately, and to request that the action taken in this context be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data have been transferred,
- To request the deletion or destruction of personal data when the reasons requiring its processing cease to exist, even though it has been processed in accordance with the PDPL and other relevant legal provisions, and to request that the action taken in this context be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data have been transferred,
- To object to an adverse outcome arising against the person as a result of the processed data being analysed exclusively by automated systems,
- To request compensation for damages incurred due to the unlawful processing of personal data.
If you submit your requests regarding these rights in accordance with the Communiqué on the Application Procedures and Principles to the Data Controller, your applications will be reviewed and concluded as soon as possible and, at the latest, within 30 (thirty) days. While, in principle, no fee is charged for such requests, if the action requires an additional cost, a fee may be charged in accordance with the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. However, if the request arises from an error of the Company, the fee charged will be refunded to the data subject.
The data subject undertakes that the information that is the subject of this Privacy Notice is complete, accurate and up to date, and that any changes to this information will be updated without delay. The Company shall have no liability in cases where the data subject has not provided up-to-date information.
As a data subject, you acknowledge that if you submit a request that results in any of your personal data becoming unusable by the Company, you may not be able to fully benefit from the operation of the Site, and you declare that any and all responsibility arising in this context shall rest with you.
