A shade card is a reference set showing a yarn's colour range, count information and textural character through physical samples. Because screen colours vary with device calibration, obtaining colour approval on a physical shade card before a production decision is standard practice.
The card also shows the count–handle relationship: the same colour gives a different surface character at a different count.
Our Shade Card Types
Regenerated Cotton Yarn Shade Card
Contains the colour range of regenerated cotton yarns produced from recovered raw material. This line falls under the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certificate; recycled content is traceable from raw material through to finished yarn.
Knitting Yarn Shade Card
Contains the colour options of knitting yarns developed for weaving and knitting applications. Used in fashion, home textiles and design-led production.

How to Request a Shade Card
- State which card you want: regenerated cotton yarn and/or knitting yarn.
- Tell us your intended use (blanket, pique, kilim, knitting, weaving) — the count recommendation follows from it.
- Add your company name, delivery address and contact details.
- Send your request to info@sesli.com.tr or use the contact form.
Colour Approval and Custom Colour Work
If a tone outside the card is required, custom colour work can be carried out. A laboratory recipe is prepared first, then a colour sample is produced in a small batch and submitted for approval. The approved recipe is archived as a reference for batch matching in serial production, keeping colour consistent in repeat orders.
Colour fastness (wash and rub) tests are carried out in our laboratory, with cross-verification at accredited external laboratories where required.
